In the ground it is a medium tree at 4-8m, can be pruned to keep lower and also grown in a large pot to keep 1.5-2m. Likes well drained fertile soil in a protected position in full sun.
One of the original varieties brought here by the first fleet. Not widely grown these days, maybe an underrated backyard orange. The tree is a strong grower, producing fruit mid-winter. Oranges are medium sized with a good flavour, not the sweetest, but certainly juicy, with a few seeds. It crops consistently every year. Good eating fresh and for juicing.
