Basil Perennial is a highly aromatic plant with ovate, light green leaves and whorls of flowers. Which?prefers a position in full sun or part shade?on well drained fertile soils.?Height is?normally to 100cm. .
Harvest younger leaves at any time and use fresh, juiced or dried. Leaves are used with both vegetable and meat dishes or included in stuffing for poultry. This basil is not suited to using in salads. Flowers can be distilled for oil. Cut back hard a couple of times a year to?encourage new growth and stop?plant becoming too?woody.
Combine with tomato and parsley in cooked dishes. Grown for pollinator attractant and for use when?sweet basil isn?t available.
