Beautiful black plum good for eating fresh, it is also used for puddings, pies and sauces. Good for eating fresh. Ripens mid-season. Requires pollination from other Japanese Plum (Prunus salicina) varieties.
It is a narrowly upright, deciduous fruit tree with ovate to elliptic, toothed, mid-green leaves and white to pink-flushed flowers in mid- to late spring followed by oval to dark purple, thick-skinned, mildly-flavoured fruit with orange-pink flesh, ready for harvest in late summer or early autumn.
